Track & Field Competes at Dunny Curran Invite

CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams took the short trip to Widener University with an aim to improve their times and distances at the Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
 
Starting with the women's events, Sahdahya Addy had a top 15 showing in the long jump with a distance of 5.03 meters. In the shot put, Alli Siravo threw a distance of 9.10 meters. Kyleigh Joniec and Sydney Wilson both competed in the javelein, with distances of 27.98 and 18.80 meters, respectively.
 
In the 400-meter, Aniyah Holmes picked up a personal best with a time of 1:02.23. Addy picked up a 1:13.83. Katie Baier earned a personal best in the 1500-meter with a time of 6:03.7. She also ran the 800 in a time of 2:56.04. In the 100, Neshaya Overton sprinted to a time of 15.49 seconds, with Quinaya Barker running in 16.28. Holmes led Knights runners in the 200, finishing in 27 seconds, while Overton finished in 32.11.
 
On the men's side, Bryan Castro improved his 1500-meter time from last week by nine seconds, finishing in 4:27.29. Hakeem Hall led all Neumann runners in the 100 with a time of 12.19 seconds. Olufehinti Olufeyisara was close behind at 14:46. Wyatt Boyer ran a time of 51.39 in the 400, and 22.99 in the 200. Hall ran the 200 in 24.78 and Olufeyisara finished in 25.32. In the 800, Jodi Johnson ran in a time of 2:02.27 and Castro in 2:09.66. Johnson also ran the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10.23.59. Finally, Hall turned in a long jump distance of 5.66 meters.
 
Neumann will be back in action on Saturday, April 5th when the head to the University of Delaware Invitational in Newark.
