Three Knights Shine in Atlantic East Weekly Awards

HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and three Neumann University Basketball players earned major honors. Men's Basketball swept the major awards this week as DJ Earl was named the Player of the Week and Donte Dupriest was named the Defensive Player of the Week. Emily DuPont was named the Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
 
Earl averaged 22.7 points per game as Neumann picked up three wins in the final games of 2025. The senior scored 20 points while adding seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in an 85-65 win over Penn State Schuylkill. Earl tallied 30 points, nine boards, four assists and four steals as Neumann defeated Penn State Lehigh Valley 75-62. In the 73-59 win against Haverford to wrap up the week, Earl had 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. This is Earl's third weekly award this season and first Player of the Week selection.
 
Dupriest averaged 23.2 points and 13.3 rebounds during the past week's action. The senior had a double-double in all three games. In the win over Penn State Schuylkill, Dupriest had 29 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. He followed with 21 points and 12 boards against Penn State Lehigh Valley. To wrap up the week, Dupriest had 20 points and 18 rebounds in the Knights' defeat of Haverford. This is the Philadelphia native's fourth Defensive Player of the Week selection this season.
 
DuPont averaged 19 points and 7.5 rebounds in the two games she played this week. In a 73-65 loss to Albright, the 5th year had 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. She followed with 20 points and six steals in a 58-45 win at York (Pa.). This is her second Defensive Player of the Week nod of the season, and fourth weekly award.
 
The men's team is off until the year when they host Immaculata on Saturday, January 7th to open up Atlantic East play. The women's team will return on Monday, December 29th against Franklin and Marshall College, as part of the Scala Holiday Tournament, hosted by Montclair State University in New Jersey.
