ARLINGTON, Va. – The Neumann University Men's Tennis team battled Atlantic East Conference foe, Marymount University on Wednesday afternoon, dropping a close 4-3 decision.
 
In doubles action, Joe Troilo and Trevor Lodge, the second doubles team, earned a 6-1 win, while Logan Gorbitz and Anthony Carpinella nabbed a 6-2 win as the Knights picked up the doubles point.
 
Vince Landis won the first set of his second singles match, 6-4, before stepping on the gas and controlling the second set, 6-1. Carpinella, in sixth singles, had a back-and-forth match as he dominated the first set, 6-0. He dropped the second set 6-4, but picked up the point in the third, 6-2. Trevor Lodge pushed his fourth singles opponent to the limit, winning the first set, 6-4 before falling 6-4, 6-3.
 
Neumann (7-5, 2-2 Atlantic East) will be the host for the 2025 Atlantic East Conference tournament as the semifinals will be held on Friday, April 25^th. The Championship will be on Saturday, April 26^th.
