LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's and Men's Track & Field teams competed in the Lincoln University Invitational on Thursday afternoon.
Kyleigh Joniec took top honors in the javelin throw with a mark of 28.40 meters.
Sydney Wilson came in second with a personal best 25.65 meters while
Alli Siravo was fifth with a 17.91. Siravo won the shot put competition with a toss of 9.40 meters and Wilson was fifth with a 7.70.
In the running events,
Katie Baier was second in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:55.58. In the 400m
Aniyah Holmes was the top Neumann runner, earning a time of 28.04 seconds. Baier was behind her at 1:12.13. Holmes was also the top Knight in the 200 with a time of 28.04.
Gianna Manley-Perez finished in 30.52 seconds and
Neshaya Overton had a 32.27. In the 100, Manley-Perez earned a personal best time of 14.21 while Overton was right behind at 15.20.
On the men's side,
Jodi Johnson placed second in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:04.55.
Bryan Castro picked up a time of 2:11.60 and
Wyatt Boyer had a personal best 2:12.47 seconds. Johnson was fourth in the 400 with a time of 51.63 and Castro had a personal best of 56.26 seconds.
Hakeem Hall competed in both the 100 and 200 meter races with times of 11.80 and 24.63 seconds, respectively. He also had a distance of 5.72 meters in the long jump.
Christian Johnson made his season debut in the shot put with a throw of 8.51 meters.
Neumann will be back in action on Saturday as they'll compete in the Paul Donahue Invitational in Chester, Pa., hosted by Widener University.
