LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University Baseball team dropped a 14-0 decision against No. 25 Keystone College in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.
Joe Boccio led the effort for the Knights, going 2 for 3 with a double.
Anthony Rakotz and
Chris Balshuweit were both 1 for 3.
Keystone got the scoring started in the bottom of the first with back-to-back home runs. A three-run shot over the left field wall and a solo bomb to left-center made it a 4-0 game. In the second, the Giants added an RBI single and broke the game open in the third, plating seven runs, including a two-run single, a grand slam, and a solo homer. Two more runs in the fifth would seal the game.
Neumann (23-10, 9-3 Atlantic East) will open their final Atlantic East Conference series on Friday afternoon when they host Centenary University for a 3:30 PM start.
