ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team dropped two games to Eastern University on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. Scores were 12-2 in six innings and 21-2 in five innings.
In the first game,
Emily Ammon knocked in Neumann's two runs with a single after
Tori Spinella and
Rylie Norris reached base.
Sydney Wright started the game in the circle.
Olivia Ammon came out of the pen.
The Knights picked up their two runs in the bottom of the fifth in game two. After
Nicole Anderson was hit by a pitch,
Kayla Naylor doubled for runners at second and third. Spinella singled to knock in the two runs.
Ang Sannicandro started the game.
Lauren Farrier came in in relief.
Neumann (6-24) gets back into conference action when it heads to Marywood for a pair of games against the Pacers. The first game is slated to get underway at 12:00 PM.
