ASTON, Pa. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced their NCAA Division III Regional All-Defensive teams on Thursday morning and Neumann University's Joe Boccio was selected to the squad for Region 5.
 
Boccio had a very strong defensive season, mostly at third base. In total, he had 54 put-outs and 47 assists with only two errors and his fielding percentage was .981. At the plate, he hit .316 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 31 runs batted in, and 32 runs scored, in 38 games. He was twice named the Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week and was named to the CSC Academic All-District team and the Atlantic East All-Academic team.
 
With Boccio's efforts, Neumann had the fewest errors in the Atlantic East Conference. They finished with a 26-13 overall record, and were 11-4 in conference, tied for the top spot. The Knights advanced to the final day of the conference tournament as well.
