ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision against Widener University in a non-conference on Saturday afternoon.
Widener took the lead early on with a goal in the ninth minute. Two minutes later, they struck again and doubled their lead. From that point, the Knights started to push the offense forward. After a throw in by

Ebony Arvelo made a move just outside of the box a placed a shot into the top left corner of the goal for her second of the season, pulling Neumann within one. The Pride regained the two-goal edge in the 35
th minute and put the game away with another goal in the 79
th minute.
Anna Poehlmann led the effort with three shots, two on goal. Arvelo and
Summer Brown each put up one shot on goal while
Catherine Miller attempted a shot.
Shannon Duffy made 10 saves in goal.
Neumann (2-4-1) will try to get back to their winning ways next Saturday afternoon when the host Lancaster Bible College for a 1:00 PM start.
