MADISON, N.J. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team dropped a 3-2 non-conference match-up against FDU- Florham on Friday evening.
The Devils struck first just 2:03 into the game for the early lead. Neumann equalized after a corner kick caromed around the six-yard box and put in the goal by
Catherine Miller for her first goal of the season. Four minutes later, in the 20
th minute,
Julianna Hatt took a free kick from distance and dropped it inside the box.
Ebony Arvelo lifted it in for her third goal of the season, giving the Knights a 2-1 lead. That edge would last until the 43
rd minute when FDU-Florham tied the match up. The game-winner came with less than a half hour left in the game.
Arvelo led the offensive attack with six total shots, four on goal. Hatt was able to attempt two shots, in addition to her assist.
Shannon Duffy made eight saves.
Neumann (2-7-1) will be back in action on Wednesday when they visit Stevenson University for their last non-conference game of the season. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
