ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team finished the 2025-2026 season in style with a 3-0 win over King's College on Friday afternoon.
Gia Santorello starred in her final game with a goal, the game-winner, and two assists, on six shots on goal, while blocking two shots.
Kaila Booth added two assists.
Kenna Sanders was sharp in the faceoff circle, winning 11 of the 15 she took.
Charlotte Labre and
Sammie Haun each scored as well.
Noelle Woodard earned her second shutout of the season with 17 saves.
Neumann got on the board late in the first period when Santorello found a rebound and, from her knee, put home her seventh goal of the season. After a scoreless second period, the Knights doubled their lead 5:26 into the third. Santorello took a shot from the point that was blocked. The puck landed on Booth's stick and she fired towards goal. After the save, Labre deposited the rebound for her sixth of the year. 38 seconds later, Santorello kept a clearing attempt alive for Booth. She left it behind the net for Haun who scored on a wraparound for her sixth of the season, sealing the game.
Neumann ends the season with an overall record of 7-18 and were 5-16 in Atlantic East Conference play. Unfortunately for the Knights, they were eliminated from playoff contention, but the season-closing win should be a building block for a resurgent new season in the Fall.
