Men’s Tennis Falls Just Shy of Win at Marywood

Box Score SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision in an Atlantic East Conference match on Sunday afternoon.
 
The third doubles team of Logan Gorbitz and Chandler Wolf battled to a 6-3 win but ultimately, the doubles point went the way of the Pacers. Adam Barisa picked up a 7-5, 6-3 win in second singles and James Leuzzi had a tough three-set challenge in the third singles match. After dropping the first set, he fought back for a 6-4 set win, but in the third, he fell, 7-5. Luca Troilo won the first set of his fourth singles match, 6-4 but lost the second by the same score. In the tie-breaker, he took a 10-5 win. Gorbitz took a 6-1, 7-5 win in fifth singles but it was not enough to take the match.
 
Neumann (5-5, 0-2 Atlantic East) will be back on the court on Tuesday when they host Marymount University starting at 3:30 PM
