ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Eastern University 4-3 on Thursday afternoon as they celebrated senior day.
Before the match, the Knights honored their seniors:
Kayleigh DellaVecchio,
Molly McGee and
Alura Troilo.
Troilo and DellaVecchio went on to win their first doubles match 6-2. McGee, along with her sister
Casey McGee, took second doubles 7-5.
Jane Gorman and
Lyndsie Crawford wrapped up the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win in the third flight.
In singles action, Troilo won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles. M. McGee won second singles 7-5, 4-6, (10-4).
Natalie Hackett won the match for the Knights with a 6-2, 6-1 win at sixth singles.
Neumann (3-7) heads to Immaculata on Saturday for conference action beginning at 12:00 PM.
