HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their Team Academic Awards for the Spring and both Neumann University's Softball and Women's Lacrosse teams led the pack.
Softball finished the season as Atlantic East Conference runners-up, advancing to the tournament finals before bowing out. They had an overall record of 21-20 and a conference record of 7-5.
Women's Lacrosse, the Atlantic East champions, were 9-9 overall and a perfect 5-0 in conference play. They dispatched Immaculata in the tournament semifinals, and Marywood in the championship game, advancing to the NCAA Division III National Tournament for the first time in program history.
The Team Academic honor is awarded to the institution's team that had the top GPA in its respective sport through the semester(s) it played in.
