Four Knights Named to Academic All-MAC Men’s Hockey team

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced their Academic All-MAC team for men's hockey on Tuesday morning, and four Neumann University student-athletes were selected.
 
Lucas Culhane was the top assist man in the conference with 27, placing him fourth in all of Division III. That number also placed his tied for sixth in a single season in program history. He added seven goals for 34 points on his way to a MAC All-Conference First team selection. The sophomore was also placed on the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
 
Sonny DiNubile earned a spot on the MAC All-Conference Second team with two goals and 14 assists for 16 points as a defenseman. The sophomore earned his second MAC Academic Honor Roll slot and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
 
Max Donohoe was a two-time MAC Offensive Player of the Week recipient on his way to an All-Conference Second team selection. His 18 goals is tied for seventh in a single season in Neumann history and led the conference. Three of those goals were game-winners and he added 11 assists for a total of 29 points on the year. The sophomore is also a two-time MAC Academic Honor Roll selection.
 
Christian Green is the reigning MAC Rookie of the Year and was also placed on the All-Conference First team with two Defensive Player of the Week awards. In spite of only completing his first year, he is all over the program record book. His .936 save percentage is the best career mark, fifth in a single season, and was seventh in all of Division III. He also put up a 1.97 goals-against average, which was second in the MAC and 10th in the nation, placing his first on the career list and second on the single season list. Additionally, the Boothwyn, Pa. native led the conference in shutouts with four.
 
The Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2026 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
