SOPHOMORE SEASON (2008-09): 
Started in 26 games for the Knights...tallying 15 wins, a career high, on her way to posting a .910 save percentage and a 3.09 goals against average...in a 3-0 win over Oswego State on 11-15-08, got her first career shut-out, stopping 38 shots in the process...got her second shut-out of her career in a 10-0 win over Wesleyan...on her way to breaking the Neumann record for shut-outs in a season, she would go on to shut-out Cortland State on 1-23-09 and Buffalo State on 2-14-09...named ECAC Goalie of the Week 3 times, 11/24, 12/2, and 1/27...broke the season record for saves with (733).

FRESHMAN SEASON (2007-08): 
Started 18 games in goals for the Knights...posting a 2.54 goals against average and an amazing .939 save percentage...Mel was ranked 9th in the country in save percentage and was the highest ranked freshman nationally...ranked 2nd in the ECAC West in save percentage...broke 4 goaltending records at Neumann in first year, save in season (711), saves in games (63), save percentage for season (.939) and goals against average season (2.54)...named to the ECAC West All-Rookie Team...voted The Most Valuable Player for the Season and MVP of the Playoffs. 

Personal: Daughter of Dan and Ginette...has one sister, Tania...Mel is a Criminal Justice major.
