Coach Ed Charlton begins his first season as an assistant coach at Neumann University.
Coach Charlton was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 23rd round in 2015, after attending college at NJIT on a Division I baseball scholarship. In his career at NJIT, Charlton appeared in 187 games (third on the all-time list), had 707 at bats (third on the all-time list), finished with a career batting average of .303 (first in DI era), 136 runs (first on the all-time list), 214 hits ( second on all-time list), 45 doubles (second on all-time list), 18 homeruns (fourth on all-time list), nine triples (fourth on all-time list), 127 RBIs (second on all-time list), 556 putouts and a career fielding percentage of .966. He earned Rookie of the Year honors for New Jersey as a freshman.
