Murphy enters his second season in Aston and fifth year coaching overall. Working with infielders and serving as first base coach. Joe Boccio was named to the ABCA Regional All Defensive Team in the infield posting a .981 fielding percentage with only 2 errors in over 100 chances. Making him the fourth regional all defensive team player in Murphy’s career.

Prior to Neumann Murphy was at Cabrini University from 2021-2024 assisting in coaching the infield and team defense. In 2022 Ranked 6th double plays per game in D3 (43DP/42G), Ranked 5th in fielding percentage in D3 (.975). In 2023 Lead Atlantic East Conf in FLD %, Double plays & CSB. In 2024 ranked 2nd in Division 3 in double plays per game (42DP/36G) & finished with .970 team fielding percentage. Coached Rawlings Gold Glove winner Jonathan Baker in 2022 along with Regional gold glove winners Ben Houghton (3B 2023), Colt Narciso (SS 2024), Christian Strickland (C 2024).
