Jennifer Hitchcock

 

Jennifer Hitchcock begins her first season as the Assistant Women’s Ice Hockey Coach after coming from a strong program at Castleton State College for two seasons were she earned a Master of Arts in Education.

 

Hitchcock graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology: Sports Studies.  During her collegiate career, Jen served as captain for two seasons, was a three-time Hockey East All-Star (2006-08), participated in the 2008 Frozen Four Skills Challenge and amassed an amazing 89 goals, 83 assists for 172 career points in just 147 games played. Hitchcock was also named a Reebok Second Team All-American in 2005-2006 and during that season she made the NCAA All-Tournament team and led the country in points.

 

Jennifer was fortunate enough to take part in Canada’s U22 Development Camp in 2006 were she competed against and with, what are regarded as the best players in the world.

 

After University, Hitchcock played professionally for the ZSC Lions of Zurich Switzerland in 2008-09, where she led the team in scoring and helped them to a 3rd place finish in the Swiss A League.
