Claire Uhle enters her second season at the helm of the Neumann University women’s tennis team for the 2020 season.
In her first season in 2019, Uhle guided the Knights to a record of 1-10, including a 1-3 record in the team’s first season in the Atlantic East Conference. Neumann fell in the conference semifinals to Immaculata by a score of 5-0.
Uhle comes to Neumann after a successful stint as the Westtown School's varsity tennis coach last season. She has also coached as an assistant at the William Penn Charter School and Immaculata University over the past two seasons. In addition to her work at local schools, she has also trained at local tennis clubs including Kinetix, Penn Oaks Country Club, Concord Country Club and The Cynwyd Club.
A graduate from West Chester University in 2017, Uhle was a standout on the women's tennis team, playing both first singles and first doubles for the Rams from 2014-2017. A three-year letter winner at West Chester, Uhle was named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference first-team performer in all three years she played at the school. In 2017, she was also named the conference's Player of the Year.
Prior to her time at West Chester, Uhle also spent one season at Division I Northern Colorado University. In her time out west, she was named a Big Sky Conference honorable mention award winner.
