Since taking over the program, Coach MacGlaughlin has established a culture of sustained success, building one of the premier programs in the conference. Over 13 seasons, Coach Mac has guided the team to the postseason every year a conference tournament has been contested, highlighted by six conference championship matchups and four ECAC Tournament appearances.
 
Under MacGlaughlin's leadership, the program has consistently produced some of the conference's top student-athletes. Seven players have earned All-America honors, including Mel Malseed (2017, 2018, 2019), Rachael Hoffman (2016, 2017), Kelsey D'Imperio (2014), and Kat Wolf (2014).
 
Coach MacGlaughlin has mentored six Conference Player of the Year selections, including Dani Smith, who was named Specialty Player of the Year in both 2023 and 2024, Regan Hickey (2023 Player of the Year), Mel Malseed (2017 and 2018 Defensive Player of the Year), and Kelsey D'Imperio (2014 Player of the Year). Four student-athletes have also earned Conference Rookie of the Year honors under MacGlaughlin's guidance: Rachael Hoffman (2015), Rachel Cray (2016), Claudia Bournazel (2022), and Melissa Eddy (2024).
 
The program's success is further reflected in its 37 All-Conference selections and commitment to academic excellence. A total of 85 student-athletes have been named to the Atlantic East All-Academic Team, while the team has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award five times, recognizing its sustained achievement in the classroom.
 
Prior to becoming head coach, MacGlaughlin served as an assistant coach for the Knights for three seasons. MacGlaughlin assisted in planning and conducting daily practices, aiding in recruitment and conducting strength and conditioning workouts. 
 
MacGlaughlin was an assistant coach at Ridley High School for seven seasons before joining NUVB.  She also coached club volleyball for many years with Mystique Volleyball Club, Synergy Volleyball Club and East Coast Power Volleyball Club. 
 
MacGlaughlin was a four-year starter and a two-year captain at Widener.  She was the first player in school history to obtain 1,000 career kills.  MacGlaughlin is still currently the school record holder for kills in a season.  MacGlaughlin was selected as Rookie of the Year in her freshman year and most valuable player in her junior season.  She was also named to the AVCA Mid-Atlantic Region, the MAC All-Academic Team and to numerous All-Tournament teams during her career. 
 
MacGlaughlin is a 2004 graduate from Widener University graduating with a BS is Mathematics.  She then completed her MS is Secondary Mathematics Education at Temple University in 2007. MacGlaughlin teaches Mathematics at Ridley High School and resides in Prospect Park.
