Kaitlyn Sharkey is a 2008 graduate of Widener University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She began as the assistant volleyball coach at Neumann University in 2014.
Sharkey attended Archbishop Prendergast (2003), where she received All-Delco and All Catholic honors. She continued her career as a four year starting outside hitter for Widener University where she led her team in the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC) by surpassing 1,000 kills.
In May of 2005, Sharkey was chosen to play for the United States of America’s International Volleyball Team. The team starred in the Australia Arafura Games, held in Darwin, Australia. Impressively, the team won the gold medal.Prior to joining the Knights staff, Sharkey coached with Keystone Volleyball Club. While with the club, she also coached at their camps and junior development program.
She currently is an Instructional Assistant at Hilltop Elementary School in the Chichester School District and resides in Drexel Hill, Pa.
