READING, Pa. – The Neumann College women's tennis team defeated Albright College, 7-2, Monday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Knights started the afternoon by sweeping doubles action. Ali DeTolla and Rachel Coladonato won at No. 1 doubles, 8-4. Lindsey Ravior and Michelle Steward took No. 2 doubles, 8-2. The duo of Allison Trout and Courtney Hartel won at No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
In singles play, Neumann took No. 3-6 singles. Hartel won No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Ravior won her match at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-1. At No. 5 singles, Steward won by a 6-0, 6-1 score and Kayla Chamberlain took her match at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-1.
Neumann improves to 12-9 overall. The Knights now prepare for the Colonial States Athletic Conference individual championships to be held this weekend in Allentown, Pa.
