ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College men's basketball team fell to Rowan University, 72-57, Friday night in non-conference play.

Mike Hitchens led the Knights with 13 points. Toure Wright scored 12 points.

Kevin Darby led Rowan with 19 points. Billy Care netted 13, Allen Pritchett scored 12 and Tom Cook added 11.

Rowan came out with a bang and scored nine of the first 11 points of the game.  Neumann climbed its way back into the game, but with the score 20-19, the Owls went on a 12-4 run to take a 32-23 lead. Rowan took a 35-28 lead into the locker rooms.

Neumann got to within one point, 37-36, with 17:45 remaining in the second half, but that is as close as the Knights would get. Rowan kept building to its lead and won the game by 15 points, 72-57.

Neumann is idle until after the first when it will travel to Orlando, Fla. to participate in the ECAC Holiday Festival Tournament at Walt Disney World. The Knights will face Penn State-Altoona on January 3 and either Roger Williams or Johns Hopkins on January 4.
