The Neumann College women's tennis team fell to DeSales University today in a hard fought match. The Knights jumped out to a 2-1 lead at the end of doubles play but lost 4 out of 6 singles matches. The match was forced indoors as rain began to fall at the end of the doubles matches.
The match was a classic tennis battle as the score was tied 4-4 at the end of 8 matches. The outcome of the 4th flight contest between DeSales freshmen Christine Petrilla of DeSales and Neumann sophomore
Lindsey Ravior would determine the match. Petrilla was able to pull out a 6-3, 6-2 victory giving DeSales the win.
The Knights fall to 0-2 on the season while DeSales improves to 1-0. Neumann will play again on September 5th when it host Marywood University.
