ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College women's tennis team defeated Keystone College, 7-2, Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
The Knights took two-of-three in doubles matches to begin the afternoon. The duo of Alice DeTolla and Rachel Coladonato won their match at No. 2 doubles, 8-2. Lindsey Ravior and Michelle Steward won at No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
In singles play, Neumann (4-5, 3-1 CSAC) took 2-6 singles. DeTolla won at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0. No. 3-5 singles (Ravior, Steward, Colandonato) all won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Kayla Chamberlain won her match at No. 6 singles, 8-0 in a proset.
Head coach Chris Gosseaux said after the match “We are really please with our girls today. It was an important win as we go into a stretch of tough matches.”
The Knights get right back into action tomorrow, Sunday, when they travel to Goucher. The match is set to start at noon.
