PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Chestnut Hill College, 8-1, Thursday afternoon in a non-conference match.
The Knights took two-of-three in doubles action. The duo of Michelle Steward and Jasper Thomson took second doubles, 8-0. Allison Trout and Kayla Chamberlain won third doubles, 8-1.
Neumann swept all six singles slots. Ali DeTolla won her match at first singles, 7-5, 6-3. Thomson took second singles, 6-3, 6-3. Trout won third singles, 1-6, 6-4 (11-9). At fourth singles, Lindsey Ravior won 3-6, 6-0 (10-4). Steward and Chamberlain won fifth and sixth singles, respectively, 6-2, 6-0
Neumann improves to 8-3 on the season. The Knights will travel to northern Pennsylvania to play two conference matches on Saturday. Neumann will face Keystone at 10:30 a.m. Afterwards, the Knights will play Baptist Bible, beginning at 2 p.m.
