Men's Basketball Beats Phila. Biblical by 20

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College men's basketball team defeated Philadelphia Biblical University, 77-57, Thursday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

 

Na'Sheed Linton scored 12 points for the Knights. Ty Robinson netted 10. The team shot 50% from the floor.

 

Willie Miller netted 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Philadelphia Biblical.

 

The Knights never trailed in the first half. Mike Walukiewicz opened the game with a three-pointer. PBU's Mike Phillips answered with a shot from downtown to tie the game.  Walukiewicz made his second from behind the arc to put Neumann up 6-3 and the Knights never looked back.

 

With the score 22-16 with 6:41 left in the half, the Knights held the Crimson Eagles to just three point in the remaining six minutes.  Neumann netted 17 point to take a commanding 20 point advantage at the break.

 

Neumann stayed in control in the second half. PBU got as close as 11 points, 49-38, with 7:51 remaining, but the Knights built their lead back up.

 

Neumann will travel to Gwynedd-Mercy for a CSAC game on Monday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
