CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann College baseball team tied Widener University at 14 Wednesday afternoon in non-conference play.
Matt Gallagher and Matt Grossi each had three hits for the Knights. Kevin Lengyl had three RBI. Ray Schmoltze started the game, but only lasted a third on an inning. Scott Hammell pitched 5.1 innings.
The Knights scored 11 runs in the seventh inning, on just three hits and nine walks.
With Neumann up 14-7, the Pride scored four runs in the seventh and three runs in the eighth to tie the game.
The Knights will host Wilkes University on Saturday in a make-up doubleheader from earlier this season. First pitch is set for noon.
