ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College softball team swept Colonial States Athletic Conference Opponent College of Notre Dame (Md.) Friday afternoon. Game scores were 14-0 and 10-0, both in five innings.
Lauren Strack went 2-for-2 and scored two runs in the first game for the Knights. Megan Mazur also went 2-for-2 and had two RBI. Angela Sebasto pitched four innings for her fourth win of the season. She struck out eight.
Neumann started the game strong, scoring all its runs in the first three innings.
In game two, Jenn Goslin and Nikki Brown each had four RBI. Goslin also hit a homerun. Megan Mazur went 2-for-2 and scored two runs.
Sarah McGann allowed one hit and struck out eight in the complete games as she improved to 3-3 on the season.
Neumann started the game with two runs. In the second inning, the Knights broke out for 10 runs. Brown hit a two run double before Goslin knocked out a three-run home run.
Neumann will be on the field again tomorrow as its hosts Keystone in a CSAC doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College softball team swept a doubleheader against Keystone College Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action. Game scores were 9-0 and 9-1, both in five innings.
In game one, Angela Sebasto pitched a perfect game, facing the minimum 15 batters while struck out 11 of them.
Caitlin Hanrahan knocked in the first run of the game on a double in the first inning.
Sebasto hit a two-run homerun in the third inning to give Neumann a 3-0 lead. Hanrahan then hit a three shot in the fourth. She finished 3-for-3 with four RBI.
In game two, Keystone got on the board early with a solo homerun in the first inning. In the second inning, Kimberly Kirkpatrick hit a two-run home run during a four-run second hitting.
Hanrahan hit her second homerun of the afternoon, a two-run shot, in the third inning. Kirkpatrick hit a two-run double in the fifth inning.
Kirkpatrick was 2-for-3 with four RBI. Rachel Purpuro pitched a complete game and struck out three.
Neumann will host Misericordia on Wednesday in non-conference action. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
