GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their Softball Academic All-District selections on Tuesday afternoon.
Marina Costello,
Dakota Marshall,
Rylie Norris,
Tori Spinella, and
Emily Ammon were all recognized for this honor.
Costello picked up her second straight Atlantic East All-Conference First team selection in 2026, as one of the top players as both a pitcher and hitter. She was fifth in the conference with an earned run average of 3.79 and 62 strikeouts. The grad student was 5-4 in the circle with five complete games. In 64.2 innings, she allowed only 35 earned runs on 83 hits and 26 walks. As a hitter, the Swedesboro, N.J. native was in the top ten in the Atlantic East in batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage. She was fourth in doubles with 13, adding a home run, 27 RBI, and 15 runs scored. This is her second CSC Academic All-District selection.
Marshall, in 37 games, hit .346 with 37 hits, six doubles, two triples, 16 runs batted in, and 22 runs scored. The first year started her collegiate career with hits in seven of her first eight games and didn't look back.
Norris was a force both on and off the field, culminating with her winning the prestigious Atlantic East Conference Elite Scholar Athlete award on this year's postseason tournament. She had a .296 batting average with a double, five RBI, and 11 runs scored on her way to an All-Atlantic East Second team selection.
Spinella was also named to the All-Atlantic East Conference Second team with a 2.96 batting average. She added three doubles, a triple, 13 runs batted in, and 10 runs scored.
Ammon was recently named to the NFCA All-Region V Third team as she completes a stellar career as a Knight. She is the program leader in stolen bases in a single game, and season, and a career. This season, the Gap, Pa. native had her best offensive output in 2026, hitting .366 with six doubles, four triples, 15 RBI, and 39 runs scored. All of that added up to a second straight all-Atlantic East Conference First team selection. This is also her third CSC All-Academic nod.
