ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College softball team swept visiting Gwynedd-Mercy College in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) doubleheader Sunday afternoon. Game scores were 11-1 in five innings and 3-0. 

In the first game, Deanna Christy led off the game with a triple and scored on a Lauren Strack RBI single. Neumann scored four runs in the first as Kim Kirkpatrick had a 2-RBI single.  

This would be all the runs Angela Sebasto would need as she gave up only one run in four inning of work. She struck out six in the effort. Sarah McGann also pitched in the game. 

Jenn Goslin hit her seventh homerun on the season in the third inning en route to the Knights 11-1 win. 

In game two, Laura Keeley led off the third inning and scored to open up a 1-0 lead. In the fourth, Sebasto opened with a double. Kirkpatick had a two-run double to give the Knights the 3-0 lead and win. 

Sebasto picked up her second win of the afternoon, going seven innings, allowing just one hit while striking out nine. 

Neumann is now on a nine day break when it meets Philadelphia Biblical on April 14.
