SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated conference opponent Marywood University, 5-4, Sunday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match-up.

The duo of Michelle Steward and Jasper Thomson picked up the Knights only points in doubles play winning seconds, 8-2.

Both Thomson and Steward picked up wins in their singles matches. Thomson won at second singles, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. Steward won her fourth singles match, 6-2, 7-5. Lindsey Ravior defeated her opponent at third singles, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 and Gabrielle Porcelli won at sixth singles, 6-3, 6-4.

Neumann improves to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Knights host Cabrini College in a CSAC contest on Tuesday. The match is slated to start at 4 p.m.
