ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team lost their season non-conference opener to Goldey Beacom College, 8-1, Wednesday afternoon on the Bruder Tennis Courts.

The Knights earned their lone point at third doubles as the duo of Kayla Chamberlain and Allison Trout defeated Jennifer Jones and Chibrikova Anastasia.  First doubles fell 8-1 and second doubles battled to eventually lose 8-4.

The Knights dropped all six singles points.  #Ali DeTolla# lost to Melanie Bonomo 6-3, 6-2 at first singles.  Freshman Maria Evans fell to Deniela Pereira 6-1, 6-2 at six singles.

Neumann returns to the courts Friday afternoon when they face MAC opponent DeSales University. Match is set to start at 4 pm.
