ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team fell to Gwynedd-Mercy College, 8-1, Thursday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

The Griffins took all three doubles points. The duo of Ali DeTolla and Maria Evans put up a fight at number one doubles, but fell 8-6.

Jasper Thomson won the point for the Knights at second singles as she won 6-3, 6-3. Lindsey Ravior (fourth singles) and Michelle Steward (fifth singles) both lost in the third set, 10-7.

Neumann is now 6-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference. GMC is 8-1 and 5-0. This is the first conference match that the Griffins did not win every point. The Knights travel to Allentown to face Cedar Crest on Saturday in a CSAC match-up. The match is set to start at 1 p.m.
