ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to Cedar Crest College in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match Friday afternoon.
The duo of Jennie Greenlee and Nicole Alexopoulos won the Knights point at third doubles by a 8-4 score.
Neumann then picked up points in the first three singles, but could not capture the win. Jasper Thomson won first singles, 6-4, 6-2. Michelle Steward took her match at second singles, 6-4, 6-4. Gabrielle Porcelli won her third singles match 6-6 retired.
Neumann is now 5-5 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Knights will travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College on Wednesday for a CSAC match beginning at 3:45 p.m.
