Armstrong Nets Double-Double in MBB Win Over PBU

LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Philadelphia Biblical, 82-65, Friday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
 

Sean Armstrong led the Knights with 22 points, 20 rebounds, and three blocks. Na'Sheed Linton netted 16 points. John Lewis added 14 points and Patrick O'Conner scored 10.

Charles Kennedy led the Crimson Eagles with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Willie Miller netted 12 and Brett Zamroz added 10.

Philadelphia Biblical started the game out strong and jumped out to a 10 point lead, 14-4, at the 15:12 mark. The Knights then answered by scoring the next 13 points to take a 17-14 lead. Neumann would continue to build on its advantage and lead by as many as 14, 39-25, with 3:31 left in the half. NU would take a six point lead into halftime, 39-33.

The Knights did not trail in the second half, but the Crimson Eagles would not go quietly. PBU moved to within four points, 58-54, with 7:43 left in the half. But that was as close as the Crimson Eagles would get. Over the next five-plus minutes, Neumann went on a 19-3 run to build a 20 point lead. That run put the game away and the Knights had the 82-65 win.

Neumann (12-10, 10-5 CSAC) will travel to Baptist Bible College for a conference match-up tomorrow afternoon. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.
