ASTON, Pa.- The Neumann University women's tennis team served up a convincing victory, 6-3, over Immaculata University in conference play Friday night on the road.
The Knights top four seeds took care of business, only conceding four matches. It was Bre Klar (fr. Chester Springs, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) and Gab Porcelli (jr. Jackson, N.J. / Jackson) capitalizing on six – love for both matches. Susan Staiber (sr. Lansdowne, Pa. / Upper Darby) followed suit with 6-2, 6-1 wins and Teresa Kozin (fr. Philadelphia, Pa. / St. Hubert) didn't stress with a 6-0, 6-1 result.
In doubles, Staiber/Klar and Porcelli/Kozin sealed the deal with 8-3 wins.
“This result was terrific and the girls were in great form today, “said Coach Chamberlain. “This was a must win match for us and gets us closer in the playoff- berth race.”
The Knights will host Philadelphia Biblical University tomorrow Saturday October 8th and it is a crucial conference match at home slated for a 1 pm start.
