BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Neumann University Women's Ice Hockey team tied Buffalo State College, 2-2, in ECAC West action Saturday afternoon.

Lynsey Nakamura would open the scoring for the Knights14:40 into the second period off assists from Ang Gilmour and Brittany Metcalfe.  Buffalo would answer Neumann at the 15:55 mark with a goal by Christine Williams. The teams would end the period tied at one.

Neumann would score once more just 2:35 into the third period. Kristine Acosta found the back of the net off of passes from Nicole Alexopoulos and Nakamura. As time ran down, the Knights skated hard, but were unable to secure the win as Buffalo would tie the game at 19:59.

Both teams were scoreless in the five minute overtime, ending the game 2-2.

Shannon Donnelly earned the tie with 25 saves between the pipes.

The Knights (0-1-2, 0-1-2 ECAC West) meet with the Bengals again on Sunday. The opening face-off is slated for 2:00 PM.
