ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team defeated Lebanon Valley College 9-2 on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Ray Schmoltze started the game and went three scoreless innings. Mike Dicken pitched four scoreless and hitless innings to pick up the win. Brendan Melody pitched part of the eighth inning and allowed two runs, one earned. Erik Klimoff came in and went 1.1 innings for the save.

Bill Pace, Derrek Etsell and Joey Armata each had two RBI in the game. Pace added four hits as well.

The Knights scored one run in each inning from the third to the seventh for a 5-0 lead. Etsell hit a solo homerun in the fourth.

The Flying Dutchmen scored their two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

In the top of the ninth inning, Neumann sealed the win with four runs, capped by a two-run double by Armata.

Neumann is now 16-3 this season. The Knights will host Lancaster Bible tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in a non-conference match-up.
