ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team completed its suspended game with Philadelphia Biblical University on Tuesday afternoon. The Knights came away with a 10-1 win in five innings and gave Head Coach Bill Saar his 200th career win.
In the first inning from play on Saturday, the Knights plated eight runs. Nicki Spina hit a two-run double in the inning and Crystal Perlman knocked in two runs with a single.
Kelly Goslin hit a two-run homerun in the second inning to put the Knights up 10-1.
Brittany Campbell went 3.0 innings and struck out six to even her record at 7-7. Carley Gustin pitched 2.0 innings and struck out three.
Neumann is now 20-10 overall and 14-2 in conference action. The Knights will travel to Rosemont College next Tuesday for a CSAC doubleheader.
