ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team defeated Philadelphia Biblical 25-0 on Friday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

 

Matthew Smith started the game and went 5.0 innings and struck out four. Matt Compton pitched an inning. Erik Klimoff went 3.0 innings and struck out five to pick up the three-inning save.

 

The Knights scored third first run on a Bill Pace sacrifice fly. Neumann's bats came alive in the fourth as it plated six runs. Bobby McCormick smashed an RBI triple in the inning.

 

In the fifth inning, Nick Martin and Kevin Flanigan had back-to-back two-run hits. Neumann kept pounding out the hits and finished the game with 25 en route to the 25 runs.

 

Martin finished the game with four RBI. Mathieu Vallieres and Brandon Kenish each knocked in three. Kenish also scored three runs as did Eric Silakowski.

 

Neumann improves to 25-8 overall, 8-5 in the CSAC. The two teams will meet again tomorrow at 12 p.m. for a doubleheader.
