IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team defeated Immaculata University 4-0 on Friday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Derrek Etsell had two hits on the afternoon. Matt Grossi scored two runs.

Russ Gilliam went 6.0 innings for the win. He allowed three hits and struck out six. Erik Klimoff picked up the three-inning save and allowed just one hit.

The Knights put a run on the board in each of the first, second, seventh and ninth innings.

Kevin Flanigan knocked in Bill Pace on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Bobby Callan scored in the second on a Mathieu Vallieres triple.

Bobby McCormick knocked in Grossi on a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Grossi then stole home in the ninth for an insurance run.

The Knights improves 28-8 overall and 11-5 in the CSAC. These two teams will meet again tomorrow for a doubleheader. The games will be the regular season finale and Neumann will honor its seniors.
