ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team won 4-0 against Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play late Saturday afternoon.
This was a rebound game for the Knights after losing to Rosemont College on Thursday afternoon.
The Knights were able to get on the board rather quickly, as Dan Chrashewsky play a great ball to Nathan Beideman. It was Beideman that made a surging run into the penalty box and Chrashewsky served a “Beckem-like” cross far post. Beideman leaped forward going airborne and headed the ball into the back of the net.
Dan Chrashewsky would find another target as he notched three assists in the game. Andrew Leissing would make a run in the middle of the goal mouth and knocked it home with the inside of his foot. Chrashewsky would be the sole provider for the first half, assisting in all three goals. As Chrashewsky played the ball behind the Mighty Macs backs, Leissing would find himself on a breakaway, pinging the ball off the post and into the back of the net.
Lee Collins would benefit from a wide service and as the ball ping ponged off the keeper and Mighty Macs defender, Collins was able to tuck the ball away safely in the net.
“I thought we were pretty clean not giving away any great opportunities. I thought that Immaculata played hard and did well knocking the ball around,” said Coach Sloan.
The Knights (5-3, 2-1 CSAC) get back into action Wednesday, September 28th against non-conference Elizabethtown at 7:00 PM.
