ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Rosemont College 8-1 to pick up its first win in the 2011 season on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

The duo of Susan Staiber and Breanne Klar won first doubles 8-6. Teresa Kozin and Gabrielle Porcelli took No. 2 doubles 8-0. Third doubles won by a forfeit by Rosemont.

In singles action, Staiber won at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Porcelli took No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1 and Kozin won fourth singles, 6-0, 6-0. The Knights also took the points for fifth and sixth singles on forfeits.

Neumann is 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the CSAC after the first weekend of play. The Knights will travel to Keystone College next Friday for a conference match beginning at 3:00 PM.
