UTICA, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's hockey team shutout Utica College 3-0 on Saturday evening in ECAC West action.

The shutout is the team's third straight and gives the Knights two key points in conference action as Neumann and Utica were tied heading into the game.

After playing a scoreless first period, the Knights scored two power play goals in the second. Kayla Dubowski opened the scoring at the 11:11 mark with an unassisted goal. Lynsey Nakamura scored 35 seconds later, off an assist from Edie Brenning,

Dru Austin netted an empty net goal with 2:15 left in regulation to ensure the win. Shannon Donnelly made 27 saves in net for her second straight goose egg.

Neumann is now 5-9-2 overall and 4-7-2 in the conference. These two teams will face-off again tomorrow at 3 PM.
