Women's Tennis Aces the Giants

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team beat the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Keystone College 8-1 Friday afternoon.

The Knights honored senior Gabrielle Porcelli before the match and Porcelli showed her appreciation by winning her singles match 6-2, 6-0. Porcelli and Teresa Kozin won 8-1 in second doubles.

Breanne Klar, Sarah Schroeder, Teresa Kozin and Heather Nicholson also won their singles matches.
The women's tennis team made relatively quick work of the Giants in only conceding one loss on the day. The Giants found it difficult to manufacture wins in general.

The match solidified a CSAC playoff spot and another positive step in the right direction for the Knights.

“I am so pleased to see that we have qualified to the CSAC playoffs this year,” said Coach Chamberlain. “It's a terrific feeling for the girls and so pleased that Gabrielle Porcelli has helped us get to the playoffs. She really has been a source of inspiration for us.”

The Knights (7-6) visit Cairn University Saturday October 13^th at 1 p.m.
