ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Basketball Team defeated Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) rival Marywood University 61-55 Wednesday evening.

Neumann started off the night by celebrating its three seniors Gerald Bryant, Mike Walukiewicz and Patrick O'Connor. All three seniors made a large impact on tonight's win.

The Knights came out strong right from the tip-off leading the Pacers by 12, 22-10, less than eight minutes into the contest. That lead would begin to dwindle as Marywood started to catch up as the half came to an end. Neumann would lead 31-30 at halftime.

A successful three pointer by Bryant early in the second half would kick-off Neumann's road to victory. The Knights started the second half on a 15-2 run to jump out to a 46-32 advantage. Leading the entire second half, the Knights were able to keep the Pacers at an arm's length as they stayed ahead by at least six points throughout the rest of the game.

Walukiewicz led Neumann for the night with 14 points and five rebounds, while O'Connor stood right behind him with 13 points and eight rebounds.

The Knights will be the No. 5 seed and will travel to Rosemont (No. 4) on Saturday in the first round of the CSAC playoffs.
