IMMACULTA, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team fell 3-2 to Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Immaculata University, Friday afternoon.

Russ Gilliam pitched nine innings giving up three runs off of six hits for his first loss of the season (7-1). Bill Pace went 2-for-3 and one RBI.

The Knights struggled to put hits together, as they only produced three hits. Neumann manufactured the first run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Tyler Drinkard hit a double to drive in Pace from first base.

The Might Macs used the sixth inning to drive in three runs off of four hits to lead 3-1.

The Knights pulled back a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to close the gap to 2-3. Matt Grossi singled and then stole to second base. Pace hit a single to bring Grossi in to score.

The Knights are back in action as they regroup to play a doubleheader at Immaculata tomorrow starting at 12 p.m.
