LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team completed a weekend sweep of Philadelphia Biblical University on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action. Game scores were 11-0 and 9-1.

The Knights pounded out 11 hits in the first game while plating 11 runs. Tyler Drinkard and Derrek Etsell scored three runs to lead Neumann.

Russ Gilliam started the game and went 5.0 innings. He struck out nine while allowing no runs. Jake Yarber pitched 2.0 innings and struck out two.

In game two, Neumann used a six-run sixth inning to seal the sweep. Etsell had a two-run single during the six-run inning. Matt Grossi went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.

Matthew Smith started the game and went 5.0 innings for the win. He struck out seven. Mike Dicken went 2.0 innings and struck out three.

Neumann (27-11, 12-6 CSAC) will wrap up its regular season on Tuesday at Ursinus College.
