COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team completed its regular season action with a 9-6 win over Ursinus College on Tuesday afternoon.

Neumann started the afternoon with Tyler Drinkard knocking in Will Flores for a 1-0 lead. Ursinus responded with three runs in the bottom of the first.

The Knights strung hits together in the fifth inning and plated two runs to cut the Bears lead to 4-3. In the sixth and seventh inning, Neumann took advantage of some Ursinus errors and put four runs on the board for a 7-4 lead. The Knights added two more runs in the eighth inning and held on for the 9-6 win.

Matt Spillman started the game and went 3.0 innings. Kevin Joo took the win, going 2.1 innings. Jake Yarber picked up the save, pitching the ninth inning. JJ Sims and Erik Klimoff also pitched.

Neumann finishes the regular season 28-11 overall, tying the number of wins from last season, and the most in the program's history. The Knights will face Gwynedd-Mercy College on Friday at 5:30 PM in Boyertown in the first round of the postseason.
